- Built the metadata catalog layer for a multimodal data platform, extending Apache Gravitino to provide unified catalog, schema, and table abstractions over text, image, video, and vector-embedding modalities.
- Enabled the Lance SDK to use Gravitino as its catalog backend by implementing the Lance REST namespace and table APIs.
- Designed access control and metadata-integrity mechanisms covering authorization at catalog, schema, and table granularity, and auditability of metadata mutations.
- Contributed fixes upstream to Apache Gravitino, including a metadata-store schema correction that eliminated cross-table index-name collisions.
